When Fast Company Magazine came to Los Angeles for their Creativity Counter-Conference in April, apparently, they showed up but their printing didn’t! So who got the call? SLB Printing of course. The only printer in Los Angeles that could work as FAST as the Fast Company conference needs where coming in.
Badges were digitally printed and laminated with 10 pt gloss lam. A hole was drilled in the piece for the lanyard to be added.
Hang Tags, Postcards & Inserts were all digitally printed in color onto our premium 120# uncoated cover card stock. The postcards needed a perforated line added in the bindery for attendees to tear off the coupon and the hang tags needed a small hole drilled in them for sting. So not only was our prepress team busy, but the bindery department was on their toes too keeping up with these items due in only a few hours.
Signs were printed and mounted onto 3/16” white foam core.
Labels, (5 versions, 80 each) were needed for all the different events going on. These were also digitally printed within hours of press-ready artwork arriving in our email.
The Fast Company Magazine design team from New York was great at providing the press ready files (sometimes numerous times with corrections coming in several times an hour). When the designers showed up at our Los Angeles plant to pick up all these items, the smiles on their faces showed the obvious feeling of relief and gratitude for a job well done.
It was truly a special job for SLB Printing since several members of our staff devour the magazine every month from cover to cover. Everyone made sure everything was perfect and ready for the attendees and the event to be a success.
